Happy DAY!

Well, 6 years has passed since Lauren first shared a birthday with Mother's Day. She turned 2 that year, and was very sick, so we had to cancel her little party that day. I suppose we made up for it in full fashion this weekend, as it was a full birthday extravaganza!

Since our home still isn't finished, we had to find a venue for her party. She chose the gym so that she could have a lot of kids come, and so the boys in her life wouldn't be bored by a girly party. :)
It was a great hit, and soooo easy for me!! Lauren decorated her own cupcakes, and I bought some popcicles and drinks, and the gym did the rest! The kids had the place to themselves and were all worn out after an hour of running...

Lauren declared on Saturday, "This is the best day of my life." Always fun to hear. :)

The next morning, Sunday, was her actual birthday...this is a shot of her waiting for presents at 6:30 am...

Her gift from us was the full set of Little House episodes. That should keep our family entertained for a long while!

She did have to share a fancy Mother's Day brunch with myself and Corey's mom and dad. But, she seemed okay with it! She was able to choose where we had dinner, and of course chose Red Robin...she loves being sung to!

It was a great weekend, and at the end of it, Lauren declared, "These were the best 2 days of my life!"
